Dean was bitten by the travel bug at a much later time in his life. Born in So Cal, Dean's early travel experience was limited to surfing trips to Mexico and Hawaii.
At the age of 40, he got his passport and never looked back. HIs first trip was to Spain. For the first time, Dean was able to experience the vast wealth of European history and culture first hand, and that was it. He fell in love with travel, and he's been experiencing familiar and unknown places ever since.
While driving a convertible through the bucolic south of France, a perfect double rainbow appeared, below the distant Pyrenees mountains. The visceral experience had Dean screaming (while traveling just slightly above the speed limit) "I Love This!!! This is what I should be doing with my life." Well, now he is. Dean was so inspired, he has even completed the rigorous program and achieved the CLIA "Certified Cruise Counsellor" designation. No more stressful business consulting for him.
HIs true passion is river and small ship cruising. "The travel experience afforded by these trips is unrivaled in my view. You gain access to cities and sights unavailable any other way." said Dean.
